The media could not be loaded. There is something special about having a physical copy of a DVD that you can hold in your hands, insert into a player, and watch on a screen. It feels more tangible and personal than streaming or downloading a digital file. I bought this DVD player because I wanted a simple and affordable device that can play my old DVDs and CDs. It is compact and portable, and it comes with a USB-C cable as a power supply, which is very convenient. It also has a USB socket that allows me to play media files from an external memory. The remote control is simple and easy to use, and it has all the necessary functions. The DVD player can be connected to the TV by HDMI and chinch, and it delivers clear and crisp picture and sound. As a quick summary, I like: - small size: It is compact and portable, and does not take up much space. - cable usb-c as a power supply: It is convenient and compatible with many devices and outlets. - USB socket for connecting an external memory: It allows you to extend the possibilities of that DVD player and play media files from a flash drive. - a simple remote control containing all the necessary functions: It is easy to use. - can be connected with TV by hdmi and chinch bringing life to your old TV. - delivers high-quality picture and sound. I don't like: - It’s a pity that there is no adapter for Euro-Scart: It limits your options for connecting the DVD player to older TVs that use the Euro-Scart socket.

I really like the small size of this unit. Be aware that to get any kind of volume you will need to plug in the red and white cables as well as the HDMI, but you'll still need to turn the volume way up. Also the unit is likely to be completely unresponsive to controls, either the buttons on the unit itself or the controls on the remote, when first powered up: simply unplug it and power it up again and it should work properly. The one disadvantage I have noticed in use is that there's no way to tell how far along your programme is - no time counter, no progress bar etc., even on pause. However overall it works and seems reliable so far, is well priced and doesn't take up much space. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose TV has no DVD player but who still has a fair number of DVDs - this solves that issue!

What a fantastic little player. Very pleased with the excellent 1080p upscaling that was really noticeable and a great improvement. The zoom feature and slow down feature is also a great tool. I didn't even take the instructions out of the plastic bag, just plugged it in and away it went (after setting to 1080p with the remote control). All the leads where included to set up and go, Including a USB 3 pin Plug for power a HDMI 1.5m cable also a 3ft RCA Cable. Connected to a Panasonic 4k UHD TV and a 1080p projector. great picture quality on both purchased DVDs and USB digital photos. I cant fault this item. Small enough to fit on my mantle piece 7.3 x 6 x 1.7in (not facing me due to cable connections see pics) Remote control reaches around 13 feet before becoming intermittant. I have a great number of DVD's that I intended to crossover to bluray versions but some are still fairly expensive, now I dont feel the need to. In fact since buying this DVD player I have purchased several boxsets, and dozens of disney DVD's for the grandkids not having to worry about the region DVD's where made (using charity shops and ebay, which before I would never have done). I highly recommend this player to anyone of any age, A while back I had my grandchildren staying over and the broadband went off, so Netflix Disney Xbox xs and Prime where all useless and I only had a limited number of kids movies at the time.

I purchased this product based on its positive reviews. I bought it as a gift. When the recipient opened it and plugged it in, it did not power up. I contacted the seller through Amazon and received no reply. I then bought a replacement and this too did not power up. Unbelievable! I have returned this one through Amazon. I am stuck with the original one as it went beyond the return date by the time it was opened. AVOID.

OK, So yes, DVD's are older technology in the age of Streaming services like Netflix and Prime. However for those of us that over time have acquired a massive DVD collection and don't want to get rid ( I learnt my lesson with vinyl records) this is ideal. So what’s in the Box: The DVD player – its very compact, which is definitely a good thing. It does what it says on the tin. The sound and picture are good. Menus are easy to navigate. It plays DVDs as well as videos (in MPEG, MPG, VOB, AVI, MP4, MOV, SWF,3GP format) Audio files (in WP2 and 3, WPA and OGG files) and pictures (by JPG, GIF and TIF) via a memory card. I had a quick look at this feature but due to time constraints I had a few issues. I would have scored higher if it could have played other video formats. RGB cables to attach to older TVs. HDMI cable to attached to newer TVs. Basic simple and easy to use remote control. USB cable and plug, lets talk about this, The is main thing for me because it is 5v USB powered, It means that you don’t need to use a standard plug to power it. You can plug into the back of your TV (if it has a USB slot, most modern TVs do) and power it that way, through a power pack or even a cigarette lighter in your car (for the little ones in the back seats on a long journey). This means you can use it wherever there is an absence or shortage of power points, like travelling, camping, summer house or man cave.

i have been in the market for a new inexpensive DVD player when I came across this one. It had a lot of the qualities I was looking for. 1. It's small and compact doesn't take up much room at all. It's slightly larger than my hand and very lightweight. 2. Must be easy to hook up. This one is very easy to hook up. Choose which cords you want to use (included) and plug and play. 3. Must have a remote (which it does). It took me about 2 minutes to setup. I tried my CD and the sound is really nice so glad because my CD player broke on me so now I can play my CD's once again. Next I tried a DVD and the picture and the sound are really good. My only complaint is that the remote is not the best. It lags a bit and you must be kind of close to use it or at least in my home. But overall for the price this is a nice little machine. No frills easy to hook up and use machine. As you can see to the left of the TV picture is the DVD player it is small/ compact and fits on my little stand. It was also very well packaged to keep it safe during shipping. Overall the price is good and the quality of the picture and sound is very good. You can't go wrong with this purchase. I am very happy with my purchase.
